These hydraulic parts come in a variety of shapes such as straight, elbow (at varying angles), and tee. Other ways to connect hydraulic hoses include hydraulic quick couplers, as well as through some hydraulic hose adapters and plugs. Products differ by hydraulic hose ID, Hydraulic fitting connection type, fitting shape and other considerations.
Taper thread on these fittings have a sealant applied for extra protection against leaks. Also known as JIC (Joint Industrial Council) fittings, they provide a tight metal-to-metal seal on tubing that is flared to 37°. They are excellent corrosion resistance. Fittings require a nut and a sleeve (ferrule) for each tube end. Nuts and sleeves are sold separately.
